Time flies, and in a blink of an eye, my college career is over. Looking back on the three and a half years of study, I can sum it up in two words - enrichment. Choosing to study in Taiwan should be an important turning point in my life. At first, I was worried that I wouldn't be able to integrate into the environment here, but my classmates, teaching assistants, and teachers were all very kind, allowing me to quickly adapt to life in Taiwan. When talking with classmates from mainland China, I found that teachers and students in Taiwan communicate more closely. I am also very grateful for the help the teachers have given me. Whether it was the transfer process, majors or the process of applying for my master's degree, the teachers were very enthusiastic and patient in helping me answer questions.
I feel lucky to go to school in Taiwan. First of all, you can transfer to another university in Taiwan. In my freshman year, I studied at the Chinese Culture University. I learned that Tunghai University has a long history, rich teaching resources, and strong faculty. I was determined to strive for the opportunity to transfer to the Accounting Department of Tunghai University, together with other outstanding mainland students. Compete for this only spot. In the end, I was lucky enough to enter Donghai University with the first grade. Secondly, the reputation of universities in Taiwan is very good, which I realized during the process of applying for a master's degree in the UK. Compared with students studying in mainland China, we have a greater chance of applying to foreign schools.
Effective planning and implementation are what I have been working hard on in my college life. After entering Tunghai University, I still did not slack off. I think my first task is to study. All along, whether it is professional courses or other courses, I have always maintained my ambition and curiosity. In order to communicate with teachers and better Studying courses, I always sit in the first row during class. In terms of learning methods, I have always insisted on previewing before class and reviewing after class. I will copy the teacher's lecture notes and read them together with the book. Then I will write down the questions I don't understand and ask the teacher to help answer them before class. After class, I will organize the content of the day's class, take notes carefully, and grasp the textbook knowledge immediately, instead of cramming before the exam. I learned that the school can allow students to graduate early, so I worked hard to maintain excellent grades. In terms of credit arrangements, in addition to studying the required professional courses from sophomore to senior years as required, I also took a few more courses per semester within my ability. credits.
In my junior year, I decided to study for a master's degree in the UK after graduation. Language is a big obstacle that I need to overcome. Every day I spend a lot of time memorizing words, doing exercises, and practicing speaking. Although I experienced many setbacks during this period, thanks to my continuous persistence and hard work, I finally achieved my goal. Learning English well really requires practicing every day, not intermittently. I took the IELTS exam many times because I didn’t practice consistently during the winter and summer vacations, which resulted in me having to do it all over again when school started, which wasted a lot of time. I also gained some experience during the master's application process. Don't rely on an agent, it's most beneficial to apply yourself. At first, I thought the application steps were complicated and wanted to use an agent to take care of it, but then after some understanding, I decided to apply by myself. Because no one cares more about the school you are applying to than you, and since the school application steps are done for classmates, it means we can do it. Applying by yourself not only gives us a better understanding of the schools you are applying to but also saves a lot of money.
Thanks again to the teaching assistants and teachers for their help over the years. I hope these thoughts and experiences of mine can help my fellow students. Finally, I sincerely wish every student to make progress in their studies and show themselves to the full on this wonderful stage of the university!
